Connaissez vous les fées de Cottingley ?
Cette histoire de deux petites Anglaises qui s’étaient photographiées en compagnie de fées est absolument fascinante. Elles seules pouvaient les voir disaient-elles, mais je sais bien que c’est faux puisque moi aussi je les ai aperçue.
Ces fées vivent au fin fond de la forêt, dans un écrin de verdure bordé d’une cascade où le secret de leur existence est ainsi bien gardé.
En s’inspirant des clichées que ces petites filles avaient réalisées, Elodie et moi sommes venues à leur rencontre, et les avons à notre tour immortalisées. Un moment magique, où rêve et réalité se rencontrent pour à l’avenir ne plus jamais douter en l’existence des fées !

Do you know about the Cottingley fairies?
It’s the fascinating story of two young English girls who photographed themselves along with fairies in the early 20th century. While the girls claimed to be the only ones able to see them, I know that this isn’t true because I saw them too.
They live in the deeps of the forest, in a patch of greenery bordered by a waterfall where the secret of their existence is well kept.
Using the original images as inspiration, Elodie and I successfully met and immortalized the Cottingley fairies once again.
A magical moment where dreams merge with reality in hopes of creating a future where there is no contesting that fairies really do exist!

Gorgeous pictures, and I love the inspiration! A book I read last summer called Little, Big contains a similar story of two girls photographed with fairies. I recommend it.

I love the story of the Cottingly fairies, and how the girls got a lot of people to believe them, including Harry Houdini! It was pretty obvious they were fake, but it’s a nice thought that there are fairies out there somewhere… Love your photos.

Alors là, épatant, que dire de plus… Elles m’ont toujours fascinée. Les photos capturent tout à fait l’ambiance féérique des photos originales. Elles étaient vraiment fortes d’avoir fait croire à tout le monde que les fées existaient, enfin je dis ça, je dis rien.. ;) il y a une forêt vers chez moi où des gens prétendent en avoir vu dans une cascade, sans rire.

I have always been fascinated with fairies, for many years I have wondered if they realy do exist, all the photographs that have been taken can put doubt in your mind, but there is one thing that cannot be denied nor disproved, “that is” if there are no such (beings) as fairies, where does the images and names for them come from? how can something that does not exist have a shape and name? I believe they do exist, and personally I would love to see them. David Day.

i love the photos but people have discovered these photos are cardboard cut outs but i still have a feeling inside me i think they truly are real!
