Ne trouvez vous pas que c’est injuste, lorsque vous voyez de superbes vêtements au rayon enfant, et que vous êtes tout simplement trop grande et épaisse pour espérer y loger ne serait ce qu’un bras ou une cuisse ?
Quelques passages au rayon enfant chez h&M ou Zara m’ont parfois fait regretté d’avoir bénéficié de cette inévitable croissance.
Et depuis ce jour honteux ou je suis restée coincée en cabine en essayant de faire passer ma tête dans l’une de ces robes ( taille 12 ans ) en liberty trop mimi, je déserte volontairement le rayon enfant. Inutile de se faire du mal !
Seulement il y a quelques mois, une nouvelle plus qu’alléchante me parviens aux oreilles: Stella Mc Cartney va créer une petite collection pour gap Kids.
Et c’est en voyant les créations portées par des mannequin d’à peine un mètre que j’ai senti revenir l’intolérable douleur.
Je rêvais soudain d’avaler la boisson magique d’Alice qui me permettrait de rétrécir, et de pouvoir ainsi me glisser dans la si jolie petite veste à galons.
Heureusement à la sortie de cette fameuse collection, mon âme héroïque ( ou devrais je dire mon instinct de modeuse invétérée ) me poussa à aller tout de même tenter ma chance.
J’essaye la veste dans la plus grande taille ( ou devrais je dire la moins petite ) et là … je rentre dedans, les manches sont à la bonne longueur, c’est un miracle !
A bien y réfléchir, je crois que je ne jalouse plus les enfants autant que ça !-

Isn’t it so unfair to walk by a children’s clothing rack only to know that there is absolutely no way you will ever be able to fit even an arm or a leg into any of those clothes?
The children’s clothing racks at Zara and H&M have made me feel this way on more than one occasion.
One day, I even found myself stuck in a fitting room, trying to poke my head through a great liberty print dress meant for a 12-year-old. Since then, I’ve vowed never to set foot near the children’s rack ever again. What’s the point?
Only a few months ago, I found out that Stella McCartney was working on a collection for Gap Kids.
As soon as I saw those three-foot tall models donning her creations, the intolerable pangs returned.
Why couldn’t I be Alice in Wonderland? If I had a magic shrinking potion, fitting into that super cute military jacket would be no problem!
Luckily, when the collection finally came out, my bravery (or my greater fashionista instincts) prompted me to give it a whirl despite the odds.
I tried on the largest sized jacket (I mean, the one that was the least small…) and it fit! The sleeves were long enough and everything! It was a miracle.
And now I don’t have to envy children quite so much!

J’avais aussi déjà tenté le coup chez les kids, mais ca n’allait vraiment, mais alors vraiment pas ! Surement la faute à mes deux trucs-bidules qui empechent les vestes taille 12 ans de se fermer…arf, c’est injuste :)

J’avais repéré cette veste magnifique sur… Carla Bruni (!!!) au Grand Journal— sissi c’était bien de celle-là qu’il s’agissait mais n’ai pas trouvé ladite veste chez Gap (glurps) et vraiment… rien à redire, elle est terrible et sur toi c’est juste une merveille… et les photos je n’en parle même pas…

J’avoue je suis jalouse ^^ Je voulais cette veste depuis que je l’avais vu dans le Elle, mais je n’avais pas pu me rendre au Gap avant d’aller au travail le jour du lancement de la collection. J’y suis allée à midi et… on me dit qu’il ne reste plus rien ! Tous les exemplaires étaient partis dès l’ouverture des portes.
Elle est vraiment très jolie !

Ah ben non c’est trop injuste !!! Les collections kids c’est fait pour que les mini choses (comme moi) se consolent de pas pouvoir porter les pièces qui ne vont que sur les modèles de 1m70 et plus !!! Maintenant qd je vois que ma veste est une Zara kids 13/14 ans – 162 cm… Gloups ! je ferais à jamais la taille 14 ans, une bonne raison de garder l’esprit teenage ;-)))

When I used to live in France, I had a friend, my age (was 21-22 at the time) who bought loads and loads of clothes from ZARA Kids. She was not particularly small, petite, mignon or whatever, I dont even understand how she could fit into 12 year old’s trousers, shirts, rompers, blouses, jackets and all!!!!

Haha, I feel the same way. I always find the best vintage KIDS dresses at thrift shops. I’m pretty slender, but have really broad shoulders. So there’s no way I could ever fit them : (.
