Le défilé était superbe.
Et c’était particulièrement émouvant de voir en mouvement les broderies et sandales que j’avais vus en fabrication dans les ateliers!
Comme toujours chez Chanel, le décor était impressionnant. Les murs de la rue Cambon avaient été recouverts de sequins dorés, et les tapis et coussins avaient entièrement été peints à la main.
Ce soir là, dans une parenthèse au cœur de paris, j’étais ailleurs …

The show was magnificent.
And it was particulary moving to see in motion embroderies and sandals that I had seen in the ateliers !
As always with Chanel, the decor was really impressive. The walls at rue Cambon had been covered with sequins gilt, and all the carpets and pillows had been entirely painted by hand !
That night, in the heart of paris, I was somewhere else …

The last dress is the one I love the most, it is the one that inspired my drawing… I think it is the one that combines best Chanel typical pattern and elegance and the rich gold Byzantine inspiration.
