Really beautiful spread and collection of images. Its so interesting that the Indian culture can be a fashion trend but it can. In the 90s we were interested in suede fringe and feathers and torquoise just like the 70s… they say that fashion cycle is 20 years and I think its true.

I love fashion and love your blog. I’m Native American. This trend is really bizarre to me. It doesn’t feel like “celebration of my culture” because people are wearing these headdresses and symbols without understanding their true meaning.Respect and reverence are a huge part of Native culture, including reverence for those symbols. While “its all in good fun” It is still unnerving to see. If people wanted to celebrate our culture they should take the time to learn about the symbology and process to be worthy to wear those symbols. I feel this trend furthers the romantic fantasy of indians that has been created since european contact.
I love your creativity and hope we all think more about the symbols we wear and where they come from.
